I got out the measuring tape, I checked the size guide, I followed the instructions. The leggings were at minimum two sizes too big. They fit like joggers. I thought it seemed unlikely that I was an XXL, but hey, athletic wear loves to make slightly bigger people feel monstrously huge, so maybe! No. The XXL WAS a very incorrect size, despite what the size chart says, a large is much more likely my size, but I won’t be checking further, because I can’t be bothered to play the return game any more, especially with how limited the stock is for unlined leggings.
“Highly compressive” is, excuse the pun, a stretch. They are slightly less compressive than my 3 year old Old Navy tights that are pretty worn out at this point.
I was really hoping to find a small business to patronize, but if the size guide is going to be that wildly inaccurate, adding a heap of extra work to my plate measuring, ordering, trying on, returning, etc, then I’m out. Anyone who isn’t stick thin looking for athletic wear knows how demoralizing and frustrating finding any sort of running apparel is, and this certainly doesn’t help. Maybe they’re a decent buy for those who live near a store, but for those who don’t? I’ll be moving along.
